Assume Duties-Chief Secretary- North Central Province

Exhibition of enhancing art skills of students in education zone of Thambuththegama
Art and sculptor exhibition “කඩමුලන් සුවඳ” organized by provincial education department of North central and Homran Pastel institution in order to enhancing art skills of students in Thabuththegama Education Zone was declared open by Hon. Peshala Jayarathna Bandara, Chief Minister of North Central Province at Sri Siddhartha National School of Eppawala. Art and sculptor competition was held and certificates were awarded to students and teachers under the patronage of chief Minister.
Environmental Hospitality Programme
Environment hospitality programme was held under the patronage of Hon. Peshala Jayarathna Bandara, Chief Minister of North Central Province at Habarana town on 28th coinciding with the environment conservation National Programme “පුනරුදය” of Hon. His Excellency President. in addition to the programme of distributing leaflet with the participation of business community, community organization and people, a Sramadana Programme was also launched under the patronage of chief Minister for the purpose of disposing Plastics, Pollyetheen, electronic items on both sides of the road from Habarana reservation up to Minneriya with the participation of civil security department, police department and other government institution. Hon. K.H.Nanadasena Provincial Minister of Health, indigenous medicine and environmental of North Central Province and 600 members or civil security officers were participated to this Sramadana Programme.
Chief Minister of North Central Province addressed on this occasion and said that disposing garbage should be consider as the necessity of national level in conservation environment and necessary action is being implemented to establish machines to convert Plastics, Pollyetheen, in to water vapour in near future. He further said that a programme for recycling garbage’s has already been implemented in the north central Province.
Four days residential Tanning workshop for diploma holders and graduates on the instruction of chief Minister
1000 teachers were appointed by Hon. Peshala Jayarathna Bandara, Chief Minister of North Central Province under the “දහසක් මල්” Programme, in order to enhance education of teachers in North Central Province and four days residential training programme was organized by provincial educational departments for diploma holders and graduates on the instruction of chief Minister. This training workshop was inaugurated under the patronage of chief Minister at Army training School, Minneriya
